When a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia, the effect on the entire family can be overwhelming. The diagnosis can trigger a range of emotions — including anger, fear, frustration and sadness. You may feel disconnected from one another.

We consider supporting our families to be one of the most important things we do. Typically, they are the ones that are really in pain. It is our intention to provide the most heartfelt care, providing life enriching experiences, and nutritious food, in a safe, secure, homelike environment.

The landscaping was intentionally designed to provide a nonpharmacological, therapeutic raised gardening beds that can reduce dementia symptoms and improve quality of life for those living with memory loss. Studies by The Alzheimer’s society indicate that spending time in the natural environment and gardening helps develop the appetite, boosts energy, promotes and better sleep. Other benefits of spending time outdoors and gardening are:

  • Decreased sense of isolation
  • An enhanced sense of self and purpose
  • Better orientation to place and time
  • A sense of ownership and community
  • Embracing the role of caregiver for plants, and nurturing life
